Relationships Module

A practical course to understand and enhance the core relationships in your life – and with yourself.

Humans are tricky. Learning how to manage and improve the relationships in our lives plays a huge part in happiness. Whether that’s a relationship with other people or our relationship with ourselves, nurturing them is one of the keys to a full life. If you’re seeking enhanced connections, this relationship-focused module is designed to help you unpack the reasons behind difficult relationships, such as self-judgement and low self-esteem. Developed by two psychologists with deep experience in both relationship therapy and practising self-compassion, this module will give you valuable tools for better connection and ongoing personal growth.

About Relationships

Healthy relationships are fundamentally important as they fulfill our innate need for connection and belonging. They provide emotional support, companionship, and a sense of shared experiences. Relationships offer opportunities for personal growth, learning, and self-discovery. Difficult relationships can evoke a range of emotions and have a significant impact on our well-being. They can make us feel stressed, frustrated, or overwhelmed due to constant conflicts or misunderstandings. Understanding our relationship style and learning strategies to improve them can be transformative.

How can this module help improve my relationship with myself and others?
This course provides a foundation to start exploring underlying issues, gain self-awareness, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and improve communication skills for more fulfilling relationships.
Why does Attachment Theory matter in relationships?
Attachment Theory matters because it helps us understand how our early attachment experiences impact our adult relationships. It sheds light on our attachment styles, which influence our expectations, communication, and emotional connections. Awareness of attachment patterns can foster healthier, more fulfilling relationships through increased empathy and effective communication.
What are some of the daily exercises to strengthen relationships?
We include daily exercises such as active listening, expressing appreciation, practicing empathy, setting boundaries, and engaging in self-care to promote healthier connections and understanding with oneself and others.
How can self-compassion contribute to better relationships?
Self-compassion allows for greater self-acceptance, reduces self-criticism, and fosters emotional well-being. When individuals are kinder to themselves, they can extend more empathy and understanding to others, enhancing relationships.
How long does it usually take to see improvements in relationships through the daily exercises?
The timeline varies for each individual and relationship. Some people experience noticeable improvements within a few days, while others may require more time to work through challenges and establish healthier relationship patterns. Consistency and commitment are key.
