There’s also the relatively new phenomenon of Technostress, from being constantly hooked up to our devices. Stress can also be triggered by internal factors such as negative self-talk, perfectionism and unrealistic expectations. This module was built by psychologists who have worked with diverse clients. We understand what modalities are effective for managing common stressors. By understanding your triggers and symptoms, it’s possible to achieve a very healthy balance.

About Stress

Common stress symptoms can manifest both physically and emotionally. Physically, individuals may experience headaches, muscle tension, fatigue, and digestive issues. Emotionally, stress can lead to irritability, anxiety, mood swings, and difficulty concentrating. Sleep disturbances and changes in appetite are also frequent indicators of stress. You may withdraw from social interactions or engage in unhealthy coping mechanism like overeating or substance abuse. Recognising stress symptoms is crucial to addressing stress.
